Karis is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Development/M&A team of i5invest.
As an Investment and Strategy professional, she works with technology companies across different verticals (Healthtech, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, 3D, AR, and Logistics Tech) to source and structure investment opportunities, advise company growth strategies, build and manage relationships and assess and analyze financial health. Karis has professional experience across four countries and working proficiency in English with B1 German level.
Prior to joining i5invest, Karis worked at a private equity firm in Geneva, Switzerland, where she was responsible for sourcing and structuring private equity deals in Africa. During that time, she also co-pioneered the firm’s blockchain initiative that aims to leverage the technology to solve the growth challenges that emerging economies face in the region.
Born and raised in Nigeria before moving to Austria as a teenager, Karis was educated in Nigeria, Austria, the UK and the US. Karis holds a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (with Economics major) from the University of Warwick and a Master of Philosophy in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.
